Who We Are

CDE is a woman-owned small business providing management consulting, integrated communications and analysis services to commercial, government and not-for-profit clients.  Our dynamic impact on client missions and goals comes from our access to niche capabilities and the individual experiences our team brings from front lines and board rooms.

CEO and owner Paige C. Rasmussen created CDE in 2010 to provide virtual strategies to clients who had unique projects that needed outstanding service with integrity. Before establishing CDE, Ms. Rasmussen noticed a problem in the way that some companies recruited personnel by providing limited information about the true nature of their contracts. She wanted her organization committed to transparency and mutual wins for clients and support personnel. Focusing on high quality deliverables and personalized customer service, Ms. Rasmussen built a reputation for providing experienced, well-adjusted and well-rounded professionals dedicated to the core values of CDE. In the years since, CDE has grown its services to include staff augmentation to give client on-site support of team- and deliverable-focused experts.

Within its first year, due to the level of exposure and multi-facted experience of CDE team members, we began to diversify operations and services provided.  Today, CDE has three core focus areas that cover our projects and services offered: Management Consulting, Integrated Communications, and Research and Analysis.   Our clients include large, well-known companies, and fellow small businesses, government organizations, as well as non-profit organizations. CDE has provided support for programs supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Intelligence Community, not-for-profits, and other domestic and international commercial entities ranging from large integrators to boutique firms.

At CDE, no matter the mission or deliverable, we tailor our approach to providing solutions based on individual customer needs. Please contact us below for information regarding our services or partnership opportunities with CDE.

Corporate Responsibility

At CDE we take corporate responsibility seriously.  Not only do we aim to provide outstanding services to our clients, we also believe in creating a challenging work environment that offers professional growth and outreach opportunities for our staff to give back to the communities we support.

We, as an organization, and individual practitioners, throughly understand the challenges that face entrepreneurs, small businesses and career professionals in an ever-changing marketplace.  As such, our prime areas of community outreach services are: facilitating network opportunities for fellow small-owned business; resume writing and business coaching specifically for veterans; and mentoring. Below are examples of some of these projects supported by CDE.

Demystifying Work Transition for Veterans

Growing up in a family with generations of military service dating back to the Revolutionary War, and as the as the daughter of two Marines, Ms. Rasmussen established that part of our company's corporate outreach would be to give back to retired/soon to retire service members. She has personally spoken at Transition Assistance Programs (TAPs) and CDE personnel provide free resume writing for veterans. Through one-on-one conversations, CDE demystifies the process of applying to and performing in industry jobs and consultant positions.

Business Community Engagement

Ms. Rasmussen regularly volunteers her time and expertise as a mentor on aspects of contracting, operations and negotiating with partners and vendors. She served as the Industry Chair on the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce Government Contracting Committee from 2013-2015, and has served on the Girls in Technology Committee of Women in Technology since 2015.
